LYNX requires any eligible passenger the opportunity to travel on local bus service or NeighborLink to use a discounted fare. Upon boarding a bus, eligible riders must present a LYNX issued ID to use the discounted fare. Failure to do so will result in you having to pay the full fare.
Passengers wishing to obtain an ID may visit the LYNX Central Station Terminal Lost
& Found Window Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m and every 3rd Saturday,
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Youth Fare Program
To receive a Youth ID (ages 10 - 18 or still in high school) you must present a birth certificate or government issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID card or passport). Riders ages 7 - 9 are eligible for a Youth Pass (no Youth ID required). Riders ages six and under may still ride free when accompanied by an adult (full or discounted fare). No more than three children may ride free per adult. Children six and under must pay $1 when not accompanied by an adult.
AdvantAge Fare Program For Seniors
To receive an AdvantAge ID (age 65 and over) eligible passengers must present a Medicare card, birth certificate or government issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID card or passport).
AdvantAge Fare Program For Eligible Persons
For those persons of any age who are Medicare card holders, you may be eligible to receive an AdvantAge ID and must complete the certification process by following the instructions below to receive the AdvantAge ID card.
AdvantAge Fare Program For Persons With Disabilities
To receive an AdvantAge ID (ALL AGES), eligible passengers with medical disabilities, must go through a certification process to receive the AdvantAge ID card.
Attached below is the application form for people with medical disabilities that needs to be downloaded and completed by your physician and submitted to LYNX. The information will be used to determine if you are eligible to receive/renew an AdvantAge ID card for use on LYNX’ local bus routes or NeighborLink.
Please follow these directions carefully:
- Print clearly and fill out the section of Part 1 and 2 of the application that applies to you. Attach a copy of your Medicare card (if applicable).
- Have your physician complete and sign Part 3 of the application. If you have a Medicare card, it is not necessary for your doctor to complete part 3.
- Mail the original, completed application to:

Please note: Your application will be processed within five to seven business days. Once your application has been processed, you will be notified by mail concerning your eligibility. Pictures are taken Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You must present your valid government issued photo ID. There is no cost for the initial ID, but replacement fees apply. The card is renewed every three years by a new application.
