Having your car break down on any road is never a fun moment, and it's especially nerve wracking when it happens on I-4 during rush hour. However, if this unfortunate scenario should happen to you, one of the seven vehicles that are part of the LYNX Road Rangers sponsored by State Farm program may rush to your assistance.

Call *FHP to contact a Road Ranger for assistance.

The Road Ranger fleet roams a 74-mile stretch of I-4 to help stranded motorists and minimize traffic congestion caused by breakdowns. The trucks are equipped to make minor car repairs, assist with non-injury accidents and communicate with law enforcement and emergency services.

The services provided by the Road Ranges include:

  • Minor vehicle repairs (tire changes, fuel/fluid replacement, belt and hose replacement, etc.)
  • Removal of vehicles from travel lanes
  • Securing minor, non-injury accident scenes
  • Debris removal from the roadway
  • Free use of a cell phone to contact assistance

The vehicles cover 74 miles of I-4 from I-95 (Exit 132) in Volusia County to CR 532 (Exit 58) in Osceola County. The service operates Sunday thru Thursday 6 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday 6 a.m.-3:30 a.m. The Road Rangers sponsored by State Farm program is a partnership between LYNX and the Florida Department of Transportation.
