Road Rangers
Having your car break down on any road is never a fun moment, and it's especially nerve wracking when it happens on I-4 during rush hour. However, if this unfortunate scenario should happen to you, one of the eleven vehicles that are part of the LYNX Road Rangers program may rush to your assistance.
Call *FHP to contact a Road Ranger for assistance.
The Road Ranger fleet roams a 48-mile stretch of I-4 to help stranded motorists and minimize traffic congestion caused by breakdowns. The trucks are equipped to make minor car repairs, assist with accidents and communicate with law enforcement and emergency services.
The services provided by the Road Ranges include:

- Removal of vehicles from travel lanes
- Securing minor, accident scenes
- Debris removal from the roadway
- Free use of a cell phone to contact assistance
The vehicles cover 48 miles of I-4 from I-95 (Exit 132) in Volusia County to Lake Mary Boulevard (Exit 98) in Seminole County and from SR-528 (Exit 72) in Orange County to CR 532 (Exit 58) in Osceola County. The service operates 7 days a week from 5:30 a.m.-3:30 a.m. The Road Rangers program is a partnership between LYNX and the Florida Department of Transportation.
