In 1997, the LYNX LYMMO service was developed to give people free access to public transportation in the downtown business, entertainment and shopping district.

Believed to be the nation’s first Bus Rapid Transit system or BRT, LYMMO helps keep up the pace of the ever changing lifestyle of downtown Orlando.

The LYMMO Orange Downtown Line has its own lane and controls its own traffic signals to make sure it is never slowed down by traffic. Because LYMMO is so centrally located, wherever you are and wherever you're going downtown is probably within a block of LYMMO.

Want to enjoy a peaceful dinner? Take LYMMO. See a movie or visit an art gallery? LYMMO will move you. How about heading to a Magic game? Yup…LYMMO will drop you off just a block or so away from the Amway Center.

LYMMO lets you see, feel and hear the heartbeat of the vibrant city as you glide through downtown in the air-conditioned comfort of a LYNX bus.

And best of all, LYMMO is FREE! Yes, your ride is absolutely FREE! This service is funded through the city of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board and Parking Division.

No inching along busy downtown streets searching for a parking space and feeding parking meters. LYMMO’s convenient routes gives you easy access to government and business offices, hotels and high-rise condominiums and, of course, the previously mentioned vast array of restaurants and entertainment venues that create the pulse for downtown Orlando.

Service is frequent, fun, and gets you where you need to go. The Orange-Downtown line runs every 5-7 minutes during office hours on weekdays while the Grapefruit and Lime lines run every 10 minutes and Orange North Quarter runs every 20 minutes. Evenings, weekends and holidays service is every 15 minutes for the Orange, Grapefruit and Lime lines and every 20 minutes for Orange-North Quarter Line.

So stop pounding the pavement downtown. Take a seat and let LYMMO bring you to it all.
