Public Meeting Notice

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) is conducting an update to its Locally Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (Human Services Transportation Plan) for the Orlando and Kissimmee urbanized areas. This plan will identify transportation projects to meet the mobility needs of older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with low incomes. LYNX is looking to gather input from stakeholders (including agency staff, transportation providers, community leaders, transit users, and the public) on potential short- and long-term strategies to meet transportation needs.

A series of meetings will be held to achieve the following goals:

• Introduce the LYNX Human Services Transportation Plan and the plan development process
• Educate stakeholders and citizens about the plan goals and the Section 5310 program 
• Solicit input on transportation needs, gaps, and overlaps
• Identify potential strategies and solutions to meet the identified needs and improve mobility
• Collect input on the process for prioritizing potential transportation services for funding and implementation under the federal Section 5310 program
