LYNX to Participate in 7th Annual FDOT Mobility Week

Try Transit Day Fare-Free Rides on Oct. 25

LYNX will join the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in its Mobility Week Oct. 21-28.

The agency will host or support events throughout the week highlighting FDOT’s grassroots effort to promote awareness of safe and sustainable transportation choices.

LYNX employees will participate in the Love to Ride Florida Challenge through Nov 30.

On Tuesday, Oct. 25 all rides will be fare-free for bus, NeighborLink and SunRail services on Try Transit Day. This will be an unlimited opportunity for current and potential riders to try LYNX and SunRail transportation options and save money on daily travel.

Other events on Tuesday will be a safety event in the LYNX Central Station (LCS) terminal where local agencies will be handing out information to help passengers travel safely throughout the tri-county region.

FDOT will host a multimodal workshop in the LCS 2nd floor open space room 1:30-4 p.m.

Following the Oct. 27 LYNX Board of Directors meeting, MetroPlan Orlando will host a Blind Experience event in the LCS terminal. The planning agency along with multiple regional partners will show what it is like to be blind for those with sight.
