The purpose of the public hearing is to take public comment, both written and oral, regarding Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act of 1991, Capital Grant Application to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
The purpose of this grant application is for funding of ten (10) body on chassis vehicles with an estimated cost of eight hundred thousand US dollars ($800,000) to be used for the provision of public transit services within Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties.
The hearing is an opportunity for all persons to review the LYNX Board of Directors board item regarding the proposed application, and offer comments to LYNX.
This hearing will take place if, and only if, a written request for this hearing is received by close of business Friday, November 18, 2011 to the LYNX address below, attention Tim May, and a copy sent to the Florida Department of Transportation at the following address:
