Destination Parkway 111 Workshop

LYNX has scheduled public workshops Oct. 1-3 and a public hearing on Oct. 4 to introduce changes being proposed for Links 111 and 319.

The workshops are an open and casual opportunity for the public to view these initiatives and to offer comment. The public hearing is an open legal meeting providing anyone another chance to review the proposed service change information and offer comments to LYNX. All comments will be provided to the LYNX Board of Directors (BOD) prior to a decision regarding the proposal. The BOD will vote on the proposal at their 1 p.m. Nov. 8 meeting in the LYNX Central Station 2nd Floor Board Room. If the proposal is passed, the changes will become effective Dec. 16.

                     Limited parking is available on the corner of Amelia Street and Garland Avenue.

For Link 319: Wednesday, Oct, 3, 2012, 7:30-9:30 a.m.

                       LYNX service is available by Links 20, 21, 24, 57, 319 and 303.

                       Ample parking is available.

The public comment period opened Sept. 14. Public comments also will be accepted at the public workshops and hearing. Additional comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. Oct. 25, 2012, at www.golynx.com, by calling (407) 254-6150, mailed or delivered to:

Interested parties may also view the proposed service change information at the LYNX Central Station 1st Floor Security Guard Post 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday beginning Sept. 17, 2012.

Section 286.0105 Florida Statutes states that if any person shall decide to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at these proceedings, it shall be the responsibility of that person to ensure that a verbatim record is made including testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.

Proposed Link 111 and 319 Service Changes **

Effective Dec. 16

ADJUSTED SERVICE:

  • Link 111 – OIA/Central Florida Parkway (Orange County) – The route will end at Sea Harbor Drive and Central Florida Parkway. Link 111 will no longer serve Walt Disney World Resort. Service will operate every 60 minutes.
  • Link 319 – Richmond Heights/Richmond Estates (Orange County) – Service will operate every 30 minutes.
