21st Public Service Bus Contest Winners Announced

Organizations that support education, health and community engagement in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties will be among the eight non-profit agencies featured on the 2024-25 Public Service Bus.
Osceola County Commissioner and LYNX Chair Viviana Janer and LYNX Chief Executive Officer Tiffany Homler Hawkins will unveil the bus 10 a.m. June 20. The event will be held in front of the Osceola County Administration Building located at 1 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, FL, 34741.
Each organization will receive free exposure by having their logos placed on a 40-foot LYNX bus traveling across Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties for the next 12 months. Each winner was selected in a random drawing of qualified applicants with 501(c)(3) status and operate on budgets of less than $1.5 million annually.

Angels of Mercy Ministries empower women reentering society who are recovering from homelessness, incarceration and addiction. They provide safe housing, basic needs and transportation to support their transition back into society.
Central Florida Animal Reserve manages a big cat and wildlife sanctuary for lions, tigers, leopards and cougars. They provide educational presentations and tour offerings for big cats that would otherwise not have a home.
Collegiate Pathways, Inc. dba Tech Sassy Girlz is helping to build the future workforce by transforming the lives of adolescent girls to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields through career readiness, mentoring and entrepreneurship.
Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda aims to preserve Afro-Puerto Rican culture by educating the community on its fundamentals through artistic excellence. Their mission is to facilitate cross-cultural enrichment by providing accessible opportunities for the community.
The Greater Maitland Civic Center DBA Venue on Lake Lily provides facilities for the civic, religious, literary, charitable, educational, social and recreational interests of individuals and businesses.
GROW Healthy Kids makes a positive difference in children's lives by increasing opportunities for physical activity and healthy living through public school run clubs, shoe distributions and recess toys distribution for teachers.
Hebni Nutrition Consultants, Inc. is a community-based, minority-led, non-profit organization formed in 1995 to provide culturally appropriate interventions that reduce health disparities. Their mission is to provide nutrition programs and food access services that empower and educate underserved and minority communities.
Team Kareem Memorial Foundation. provides water safety education, free swimming lessons, CPR training and youth life-saving skills to children of all backgrounds.
