Public Workshops for Participation in Powering LYNX Forward

September 15, 2017

LYNX Forward is an initiative LYNX is undertaking to reimagine transit services. As part of LYNX Forward, the agency will be reviewing existing transit services, identifying potential gaps and developing solutions for the community's transportation needs. LYNX is moving forward with a focus on more frequent, reliable and quality service for all of Central Florida.

The LYNX Forward process will involve the completion of a Transit Development Plan (TDP) and a Route Optimization Study (ROS). These two plans will help the agency reimagine transit services and reset the vision for transit in the Central Florida region.

Community involvement is critical to the success of the TDP and ROS.  To engage the public, LYNX will be holding three public workshops, inviting riders, non-riders, business leaders and agency officials to participate in an interactive process.  The public workshops will include engaging activities and transparent and open discussion centered on community priorities, technology, amenities and bus routes.

Feedback from these meetings will help form the ever evolving transportation network needs for the Central Florida region.
