February 13, 2014

Updated: Mar. 5, 2014

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) has proposed making system-wide efficiencies effective April 13.

The major changes being proposed will be to connect with SunRail during its weekday service hours. Winter Park routes 1, 9, 14 and 23 will be rerouted. The Sand Lake Road station will be served by Links 11, 18, 42, 111 and the new Xpress 208 from the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. Links 102 and 125 will serve Florida Hospital. The Maitland station will be served by Link 102. Altamonte Springs will be served by splitting Link 41 into two routes at the station. Link 436S will operate to the Orlando International Airport on SR 436/Semoran Boulevard and Link 436N to the Apopka SuperStop. The Link 434 will use the current stops on S.R. 434 at Ronald Regan Boulevard. The new Link 505 will directly serve the Longwood station. Lake Mary will be served by Link 45. The Sanford station will be served by Links 34, 46E and 46W.

LYMMO, the free downtown Orlando circulator, will be expanding and receive an updated citrus theme. LYMMO routes will now be named after popular Florida fruits. The existing LYMMO route will be named the Orange Line; while the east/west expansion will be called the Grapefruit Line between the Amway Center and Lake Eola using Central Boulevard, Church Street, and South Street.

Another new route proposed will be the FastLink 418. This route will connect The Florida Mall, Sand Lake Road SunRail station and the Meadow Woods community to Lake Nona Medical City in south Orange County.

Additional efficiencies proposed include Links 20, 23, 38 and 40.

Maps and schedules are being finalized and once complete will be posted on www.golynx.com.
