What Is The LYNX Vanpool Program?
A LYNX Vanpool is a group of people who live and work near one another, have similar work schedules and commute to work at the same time each day using a van provided by LYNX. The route, schedule and pick-up/drop-off locations are determined by the driver in cooperation with other Vanpool members.
How Does It Work?
Typically, one person from the group volunteers as the primary driver. However, several or all of the participants may share the driving. Driver approval is subject to specified program criteria, including a review of applicant's motor vehicle report. Any participant that is registered may use the van for errands during the work day or at lunchtime provided they coordinate the arrangements with the primary driver.
Save Time and Money
The cost of the LYNX Vanpool service varies and is based on the size of the vehicle. This cost, which is shared by the participants, includes all maintenance and insurance for the van. Gasoline and tolls are additional costs also shared by the participants. A minimum of six to eight participants is recommended. However, our vans can accommodate up to 12 passengers, based on availability.

LYNX Agency Program
This is a separate, employer-based Vanpool service provided by LYNX. The cost is a single monthly rate and is usually subsidized by the company interested in providing this service to their employees or clients. The monthly fee covers the van lease, insurance, full maintenance package, and 24 hour roadside service. All LYNX Agency Van vehicles are under a mileage cap and cannot exceed 3,500 miles per month. If the van exceeds the mileage cap, there will be an additional charge of $.10 per mile over the limit. The pricing for a 10, 12, or 15 passenger van is $690 per month ($525 if lessee provides insurance).

WHAT IS THE LYNX EMPLOYER BUS PASS PROGRAM?
Don’t drive yourself crazy getting to work! Pick up a 7-day or 30-day bus pass at your work location and relax while LYNX does the driving. You have time to read the paper or go over reports while saving money on gas and tolls. This program offers terrific tax saving benefits for employers and employees. Individuals who participate in LYNX bus pass programs also qualify for the "Emergency Ride Home" program offered by reThink and the Florida Department of Transportation.

WHAT IS THE LYNX PRE-TAX SAVINGS PROGRAM?
Employers who subsidize Vanpool or Bus Pass programs receive a dollar-for-dollar tax deduction. Employees receive tax savings when they deduct up to $130 a month from their paycheck to pay for Vanpool or Bus Pass programs. This reduces the taxable income for employees and reduces payroll costs for employers.
