What This Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") covers how the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority d/b/a LYNX (hereinafter, "LYNX") treats personal information that it collects and receives from you during your use of the http://www.golynx.com website ("Site").  For the terms and conditions under which you may enjoy access to this website, click here: TERMS.  Personal information is information about you or your clients that is personally identifiable like name, address, e-mail address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available. Such information can include information related to your past use of LYNX products and services. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that LYNX does not own or control, or to people that LYNX does not employ or manage. 

Florida Public Records Law, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes
The Florida Public Records Law, Fla. Stat. § 119.01 et seq. sets forth Florida's policy regarding the access to state public records. "It is the policy of this state that all state, county, and municipal records are open for personal inspection and copying by any person. Providing access to public records is a duty of each agency." Fla. Stat. § 119.01.  "Every person who has custody of a public record shall permit the record to be inspected and copied by any person desiring to do so, at any reasonable time, under reasonable conditions, and under supervision by the custodian of the public records." NOTICE: E-MAIL ADDRESSES ARE PUBLIC RECORDS. Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public-records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.  Please be further advised that any written communication received by LYNX is also a public record under Florida law and is subject to being released pursuant to a public records request. Collection of Personal Information
When you engage in activities on this Site, you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. Your visit to this Site is voluntary and it is completely optional for you to engage in these activities.  Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide may be identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity on-line. Accordingly, you will need to use a non-web based option for transacting that business with LYNX.

In addition, we have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.  While information may be saved for a designated period of time in order to comply with the state of Florida's archiving policies, information will not be disclosed to third parties or other government agencies, unless required by municipal, state or federal law.
