Temporary Bus Stop Removal on I-Drive

Bus Stop Relocation

Due to ongoing construction to widen the roadway; effective January 10, 2014, the bus stop on International Drive between Kirkman Road and Universal Boulevard located in front of the 7-Eleven serving: inbound Link 8, southbound Link 37, and eastbound Link 42 will be removed until further notice.

This is an important transfer point between these 3 Links. Please use the instructions below when communicating to customers how to navigate this change.
- If passengers are on inbound Link 8 or eastbound Link 42 and wish to transfer to northbound Link 37: exit the bus on International Drive at Universal Boulevard (Wet N Wild). Cross over International Drive using the crosswalk. Then cross over Universal Boulevard and proceed to bus stop.
- If passengers are on outbound Link 8 or westbound Link 42 and wish to transfer to southbound Link 37: exit the bus on International Drive at Grand National Drive. Cross International Drive using the crosswalk, and then cross Grand National Drive. Walk south on Grand National Drive approximately 50 feet to the temporary bus stop.
- If passengers are on northbound Link 37 and wish to transfer to inbound Link 8 or eastbound Link 42: exit the bus on Vanguard Street at Municipal Drive. Walk north on Municipal Drive approximately 75 feet to temporary bus stop.
- If passengers are on southbound Link 37 and wish to transfer to inbound Link 8 or eastbound Link 42: exit the bus at the temporary bus stop located on Grand National Drive, continue to wait at this bus stop for your connecting route.

For passengers who are looking to catch inbound Link 8 or eastbound Link 42 and normally use this stop, please direct them to walk on the north side of International Drive and use the crosswalks to access the bus stop on the southwest corner of International Drive and Universal Boulevard (Wet N Wild).

For passengers who are looking to catch southbound Link 37 and normally use this stop, please direct them to walk on the north side of International Drive and use the crosswalks to access the temporary bus stop on Grand National Drive approximately 50 feet south of International Drive.

The construction is part of a project designed to provide additional capacity and dedicated bus lanes on the segment of International Drive between Universal Boulevard and Oakridge Rd. Please advise passengers and operators alike to utilize caution when navigating the intersections in this segment of roadway.
