Updated LYNX January Service Changes

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) will make additional system-wide efficiencies effective Jan. 12.

In Osceola County the NeighborLink 631 service area will be adjusted and hours extended to
10:25 p.m. A new NeighborLink 632 will serve north Kissimmee connecting with NeighborLink 631 and all Osceola County routes based at the new LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. Both routes
will operate Monday-Friday.

Osceola County

  • NeighborLink 631 – Buena Ventura Lakes (Osceola County) – Will be adjusted to serve the area between Florida’s Turnpike, Simpson Road, Boggy Creek Road and Osceola Parkway. Route will continue to be based at Valencia College. Service hours will be 5:40 a.m.-10:25 p.m. Monday through Friday. The 10:05 p.m. trip will extend and cover the NeighborLink 632 service area to drop off only.
  • NeighborLink 632 – North Kissimmee (Osceola County) – New route. Will be based at the new LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. The service area will be between U.S. 192, John Young Parkway, Osceola Parkway and Florida’s Turnpike with a stop at Valencia College. Service Hours will be 6:50 a.m.-11:02 p.m.  Monday through Friday. The 10:05 p.m. NeighborLink 631 trip from Valencia College will extend and cover the NeighborLink 632 service area to drop off only. The last trip on NeighborLink 632 departing the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station at 10:47 p.m. will operate as local bus service, serving all stops along Main Street and Vine Street to the Osceola Square Mall.

Lake County has contracted with LYNX to revive service on Links 55 and 204. Lake County has also established a fare increase to $7/daily, $35/5-day and $140/30-day. Discounts will be available for those eligible and certified by Lake County. These new rates will only be valid on Link 204. Morning passengers arriving at LYNX Central Station (LCS) will still receive a free transfer. Afternoon passengesr traveling to LCS on a LYNX route will first pay a LYNX fare when boarding, exit the bus and then pay a separate Lake County fare to board Link 204.

Link 55 will extend back to the Cagan Crossings Walmart on U.S. 27 during the morning and evening commute.

Lake County

  • Link 55 – U.S. 192 Crosstown (Lake County/Orange County/Osceola County) Daily 30-minute service to the Four Corners Walmart at Cagan Crossings on U.S. 27 from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. This route will not make stops along U.S. 192 between Legacy Boulevard and U.S. 27. The segment will continue to be served by Link 427.
  • Link 204 – Clermont Xpress (Lake County/Orange County) – Weekday trips from the Clermont Park N Ride on U.S. 27 to LYNX Central Station at 6 and 7:30 a.m. and from LYNX Central Station to the Clermont Park N Ride at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Lake County fare increase.

The next service efficiencies are scheduled to take place April 6, 2014. However, this date may change based on the startup of SunRail.

 

Jan. 12, 2014, Service Changes-Previously Announced

    NEW ROUTE NUMBERS:

  • Link 106 - North U.S. 441/Apopka (Orange County) - Number will change from Link 17. Minor schedule adjustments. Will operate on the current alignment between LYNX Central Station and the Apopka SuperStop.
  • Link 108 - U.S. 441/Kissimmee (Orange County/Osceola County) - Number will change from
    Link 4. Route will no longer serve Columbia Street between Osceola Square Mall and Central Avenue. The new alignment will travel between the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station and Florida Mall. The last three daily trips will be extended south to serve Gatorland.

ADJUSTED SERVICE:

  • Link 3 - Lake Margaret (Orange County) - Adding a 5:20 a.m. weekday and Saturday departure from Dixie Belle Drive and Gatlin Avenue towards Chickasaw Trail. Eliminating 4:15 a.m. Sunday trip from LYNX Central Station.
  • Link 8 - West Oak Ridge Road/International Drive (Orange County) - Minor schedule adjustments.
  • Link 10 - East U.S. 192/St. Cloud (Osceola County) - Route will no longer serve Osceola Square Mall. The new alignment will head south at Main Street to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. Passengers heading west of Main Street will need to transfer to Link 55 at the new transfer center.
  • Link 18 - South Orange Avenue/Kissimmee (Orange County/Osceola County) - Route will no longer serve Osceola Square Mall. The new alignment will head south at Main Street to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. Passengers heading west of Main Street will need to transfer to Link 55 at the new transfer center.
  • Link 20 - Malibu Street/Mercy Drive (Orange County) - Minor schedule adjustments.
  • Link 21 - Carver Shores (Orange County) - Minor schedule adjustments.
  • Link 25 - Mercy Drive/Shader Road (Orange County) - Minor schedule adjustments.
  • Link 26 - Pleasant Hill Road (Osceola County) - Route will no longer serve Osceola Square Mall. Trips toward Kissimmee will follow its current alignment to Thacker Avenue and Oak Street. It will turn east towards Osceola Regional Medical Center and on to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. Southbound trips towards Poinciana will follow the same path in the opposite direction.
  • Link 38 - Downtown Orlando/International Drive (Orange County) - Adding all day service. Weekday frequency will be 20 minutes 6-8:20 a.m. and 3:20-5:40 p.m. Service will operate every 60 minutes 9:20a.m.-2:20 p.m.
  • Link 44 - Hiawassee Road/Zellwood (Orange County) - Will no longer operate within the Errol Plaza parking lot. The route will be realigned to Errol Parkway. Passengers will be able to access the shops within the plaza from bus stops located along U.S. 441 and Errol Parkway.
  • Link 50 - Downtown Orlando/Magic Kingdom (Orange County) - Daily frequency will increase to every 20 minutes 5:15-8:15 a.m. and 4:15-6:15 p.m.
  • Link 54 - Old Winter Garden Road (Orange County) - Minor weekday and Saturday schedule adjustments.
  • Link 55 - West U.S. 192/Citrus Ridge (Osceola County) - Will serve Osceola Square Mall on U.S. 192 as a stop only. Service to LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via U.S. 192, Central Avenue and Neptune Road.
  • Link 57 - John Young Parkway (Orange County/Osceola County) - Will no longer serve Columbia Street and the Osceola Square Mall. The new alignment will stay on John Young Parkway to Emmett Street and service Link 108 (former Link 4) stops. It will then travel along Main Street and head east on Neptune Boulevard to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station.
  • Link 104 - East Colonial (Orange County) - The last four weekday and Saturday trips from LYNX Central Station will depart at :15. The last daily trip to the University of Central Florida SuperStop will depart at 10:15 p.m. The last four weekday trips from the University of Central Florida SuperStop will depart at :11.
  • Link 105 - West Colonial - All trips will be realigned to better serve the Westside Tech Center on Story Road in Winter Garden along with additional schedule adjustments.
  • Link 125 - Silver Star Road Crosstown (Orange County) - Weekday route will operate every 20 minutes 6-9 a.m. and 2-7:15 p.m. The 9:45 p.m.-12:45 a.m. trips will operate every 60 minutes.
  • Link 304 - Downtown Disney Direct (Orange County) - Will now depart LYNX Central station at 6 a.m., travel non-stop to Orange Blossom Trail and Anderson Street to operate under its current routing, and arrive Downtown Disney at 7 a.m.
  • Link 426 - Poinciana Circulator (Osceola County) - Minor schedule adjustments.
  • FastLink 441 (Osceola County) - Route will no longer serve Osceola Square Mall. The new alignment will be LYNX Central Station to the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station.
