Osceola County Routes to be Adjusted

On Jan. 20 the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) will be making adjustments to Links 10, 26, 55, 56 and 108

With the opening of the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station on Jan. 12 these routes moved to the $1.2 million southern transfer hub. As sometimes occurs with the opening of new facilities, customers contacted the agency with recommendations for more effective service.

LYNX has 29.8 million annual passengers and values their observations. The agency will be implementing several of these ideas that can be achieved without additional funding.

Daily service hours have been extended on Link 56 to include a later final trip in both directions.

Links 10, 26, 55 and 108 will all have a timepoint added at the City of Kissimmee Central Services Complex at 100 N. Alaska Ave. Early morning trips on these routes will make courtesy stops between the complex and the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via Osceola Square Mall. The routes will travel along Thacker Avenue, Mabbette Street, Columbia Street and Armstong Avenue to the mall and then follow the existing Link 55 route into the intermodal station. Destination signs for all four routes will show Kissimmee via Osceola Square Mall.

The Link 108 arriving at Kissimmee Intermodal Station at 10:47 p.m. will also extend at 10:50 p.m. to Osceola Square Mall making all stops along the exiting Link 55 route. The destination sign will read Osceola Square Mall.

ADJUSTED SERVICE:

• Link 10 – East U.S. 192/St. Cloud (Osceola County) – Timepoint added at the Kissimmee Central Services Complex. Courtesy stops will be made on the 5:45 a.m. Saturday trip between the complex and the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via Osceola Square Mall.
• Link 26 – Pleasant Hill Road (Osceola County) – Timepoint added at the Kissimmee Central Services Complex. Courtesy stops will be made on the weekday 5:35 a.m. trip between the complex and the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via Osceola Square Mall.
• Link 55 – U.S. 192 Crosstown (Lake County/Orange County/Osceola County) – Timepoint added at the Kissimmee Central Services Complex. Courtesy stops will be made daily on the 6:20 a.m. trip between the complex and the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via Osceola Square Mall.
• Link 56 – West U.S. 192/Magic Kingdom (Osceola County) – The final evening trip has been moved to a later time in each direction. Westbound: Departing Osceola Square Mall at 11:05 p.m. Eastbound: Departing Walt Disney World’s Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) at 11:15 p.m.
• Link 108 – U.S. 441/Kissimmee (Orange County/Osceola County) – Timepoint added at the Kissimmee Central Services Complex. Courtesy stops will be made on the Monday-Saturday 4:05, 4:35 and 5:05 a.m. and Sunday 4:16, 4:46, 5:14 and 5:43 a.m. trips between the complex and the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station via Osceola Square Mall. The 10 p.m. trip from The Florida Mall will extend its trip at the LYNX Kissimmee Intermodal Station. It will depart at 10:50 p.m. to Osceola Square Mall scheduled to arrive at 11:03 p.m.
