LYNX Operator Wins Operator of the Year from Florida Public Transportation Association

Melinda Demers, a 33 year operator for LYNX, was named Operator of the Year by the Florida Public Transportation Association (FPTA).

Demers was nominated for her customer service, near perfect safety record, including 32 consecutive years of safe driving, and more than 2.5 million miles behind the wheel.

Said Demers, “I have been doing this for a long time.  I take great pride in my driving and taking care of my customers.  Just when I think I have seen it all, something happens that keeps me on my toes.  When I notice a new customer boarding my bus, I consider them a new family member.  I do the best I can to give them a good experience with LYNX.”
