LYNX Bus Tracker Real-Time App Now Available

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) has released a new system-wide real-time LYNX Bus Tracker app. As the second technology project this year, the free app will now provide another mobility enhancement for LYNX riders.

Customers are now able to click on a map to see in real-time where their bus is located and track it at each stop before it arrives. Riders also are able to view estimated arrival times by clicking on their stop on their smartphone or tablet.

Once the LYNX Bus Tracker app is downloaded from the App or Play Store passengers will no longer have to wait and wonder where their bus is located and when it will arrive.

Other benefits of the new app for passengers will include saving favorite stops, routes, receiving service announcements or general LYNX messaging. Detailed instructions are available on golynx.com/tripapps.  

The LYNX Bus Tracker app has been designed by worldwide technology experts DoubleMap.

Additional technology enhancements the agency is currently working on include mobile NeighborLink trip booking, a mobile fare payment system and an incident reporting app.  Earlier this year the agency added Wi-Fi to all buses.
