April 15, 2015
The eight winning agencies – Kissimmee Main Street, McCormick Research Institute, Art Reach Orlando, Central Florida Navy League, New Image Youth Center, Central Florida Women's League Foundations, The Jewish Pavilion, Give Hope Foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Orlando – have their logos featured on a LYNX bus that will drive regular routes in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.Orange County Mayor Theresa Jacobs, who sits on LYNX Board of Directors, spoke at the ceremony and saluted the work done by the non-profits.
“I am honored to be a part of this great event. It's a wonderful thing that LYNX offers non-profit organizations like yours the exposure they need and greatly deserve. You are all outstanding in what you do.”
LYNX has been donating advertising space on one of its buses for 14 years. Winners are chosen in a random drawing from non-profit agencies that operate on a budget of $1 million or less. The winning agencies will have their logos on the bus for the next 12 months.
For the next 365 days, LYNX gets to recognize the incredible work the non-profits do on a daily basis. All of these organizations and their volunteers do great work for the community, and we are pleased to help and give back to the community.
