LYNX has a structured development and training program for all
of our employees. By providing the proper tools for you we are able
to better serve our customers each and every day.
New Hire Orientation is a one day training session that provides
information related to the history of LYNX, organizational
structure, facilities, benefits, policies and procedures, safety
and an opportunity to meet the Chief Executive Officer.
New Bus Operator Training is an 8-week course covering material
designed by the Transit Safety Institute for Vehicle Operations,
Emergency Management and Customer Service. Additional material
includes on-the-job training related to revenue service, route
training, defensive driving and professional development.
New Technician Orientation Program is a three week program that
instructs the new employee on the basic elements of their job, such
as Work Rules and Work Performance Expectations, Work Place Safety,
Use of the Fleet Management Software, Vehicle Preventive
Maintenance Processes and Procedures, and Vehicle Subsystems
Preventive Maintenance. Vehicle Maintenance also provides
continuous training directed at all the major technical areas of
vehicle maintenance.
