LYNX and the city of Orlando have partnered to expand the downtown LYMMO circulator system. Construction is underway with service set to begin in early 2014. The new LYMMO service will provide a fresh alternative for those working or living downtown, or in 2014 connecting with SunRail. The expansion is following a two-year viability study conducted following Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Alternative Analysis procedures to keep open the prospect of future federal funding for an expanded LYMMO system.
